The BELFAST Programme improves the language skills of adult foreign nationals living in Belfast by:
  • Unlocking their capabilities in the job market
  • Reducing costs to the public purse
  • Increasing social cohesion.
Volunteering at The BELFAST Programme allows people to help out in their local communities, work with others who have different experiences in a wide range of sectors, improve their CVs and job prospects as well as bring new ideas to our projects.
Our overall aim is to make Belfast and the country in general a more welcoming place to visit, live and work in.
Through our many projects, we are aiming for a more integrated community while improving the employability of everyone.

Who we are
We are a group of Volunteers from all walks of life, working out of the Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre to offer English language lessons to adult foreign nationals in the Belfast area and beyond.
What we do
We provide English language classes and offer support and resources to adult foreign nationals to help them improve their employability: to help them find jobs or better jobs.

Can anyone volunteer?
Yes! Whatever your skills, qualifications, experience or interests, we could use your help.

How much does this cost?
£0. €0. Nothing. All of our classes are absolutely free. Really!

How can learners find help?
In the Our Projects section of the website, look for a suitable course or activity.
